Thrilling Finale

The final session at the Nordic Junior Championships featured three men’s junior weight classes, delivering an exciting finish to the competition.

Men Junior 94 kg

The medals in the 94 kg category were split between three nations. Denmark’s Johannes Bjørn Schwerin proved the strongest, lifting 128 kg in the snatch and 155 kg in the clean & jerk for a total of 283 kg. Sweden’s Simon Lang secured silver with 120–145 and 265 kg, while Iceland’s Tindur Eliasen claimed bronze after 120–132 and a total of 252 kg.

Men Junior 110 kg

Sweden’s Mohammad Musavi found himself under pressure after two missed attempts at 119 kg in the snatch, but he succeeded on his final attempt, setting up a dramatic Swedish duel with Oliver Persson. Persson held the advantage in the snatch at 125 kg, but Musavi’s decisive 151 kg clean & jerk outmatched Persson’s 144 kg, giving Musavi the bronze by a single kilo, 270 kg to 269.

The gold battle was just as intense. Iceland’s Ernir Hlynsson and Finland’s Eliel Jännes pushed each other to the limit. Jännes took the lead with a 173 kg clean & jerk, but Hlynsson had one more lift in him, powering through 178 kg to seal victory with 319 kg in total.

The heaviest category featured a single competitor. Finland’s Miro Silanne snatched 95 kg and clean & jerked 126 kg, finishing with a total of 221 kg.
