The final groups of junior men, 65, 71 and 79 kg, on saturday resulted in a Danish triumph with two gold medals.
Junior Men – 65 kg
Denmark’s Thomas Vinther Nielsen snatched 98 kg and clean and jerked 124 kg, finishing with a total of 222 kg. He defeated Finland’s Ville Suomalainen, who completed a total of 161 kg.

Junior Men – 71 kg
Luka Tiago Jensen was the sole competitor in the 71 kg class and therefore secured the gold medal with 101 kg in the snatch, 110 kg in the clean and jerk, and 211 kg in total.

Junior Men – 79 kg
The 79 kg category became a tight contest between Finland and Sweden. Sweden’s Vilgot Lutz hit a personal snatch record with a strong series of 107, 111 and 115 kg, three kilos above his previous best. The clean and jerk was less successful; he completed 135 kg but had 141 kg turned down 1–2, which would have tied his personal best. He secured the silver medal.
Finland’s Veikko Ojala made up a five-kilo deficit from the snatch during the clean and jerks and won with a total of 251 kg after lifting 110–141.
