Swedish lifters ready for championship in Halmstad

This weekend’s event is part of a new concept where the Swedish Weightlifting Federation places an international championship directly inside Eleiko’s headquarters.

During the competition days, 29–30 November, Eleiko will open its popular outlet for all visitors. A perfect opportunity to find equipment for the club or home gym. On site there will also be a lottery with prizes from Eleiko worth 10,000 SEK.

Competitions begin at 10:00 on both Saturday and Sunday and take place in the middle of Eleiko’s warehouse, where lifters from Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Iceland and the Faroe Islands meet to compete for Nordic medals.

The Swedish coaching team works jointly with both youth and junior athletes.

Oskar Stillman, head coach for the youth national team, shares his view on the Swedish delegation:

– A large and exciting team is heading into the Nordic Youth and Junior Championships on home soil. It will be very exciting to follow these talents and see how they perform in Eleiko’s venue. Some are making their international debut, while others have plenty of experience. I hope to see many successful lifts, medals, and personal bests, says Oskar Stillman.
