This year's Nordic Championship was different due to the ongoing pandemic. Sweden did not stand up at all as the situation is very serious in Sweden. The other nations signed together 23 ladies and 17 men.

Four Nordic youthmen's records, one Nordic junior records for men and two Nordic youth records for women were the result when the Swedish junior championships were held in Landskrona.

Björn Liwendahl belonged to one of Weightlifting's really heavy names. He represented the Stockholm Athletic Club (SAK) throughout his active time as a weightlifter and leader.

Karoliina Lundahl became the first woman president of Nordiska Tyngdlyftningsförbundet.

At the Swedish Championships juniors Alvin Broman made two new Nordic records for youth and Theodor Lööv von Hage one new Nordic record for youth.
